Frequently Asked Questions
Where are your images printed?
I work closely with award winning professional printers to provide my customers with the best quality product and color reproduction for the image you choose. I can provide proofs and mock ups so that you have a better idea of what the image will look like in your home.
What type of camera do you use?
I primarily shoot with Canon cameras with L series lenses. I have lenses that start at wide angles that are 8-15mm all the way up to 500mm super telephotos.
I want to purchase a new camera, do you have recommendations?
The camera is just the tool and the photographer’s vision and talent is what makes a great image. I have used many different brands of cameras over my many years and they all have great qualities that can produce great images. Purchasing the right camera can depend on your budget and comfort with the different brands.
Do you have any advice for aspiring photographers?
Practice and patience. You need a great understanding of your equipment and light and learning to pay attention to how it is affecting your subject. I teach a beginner photography class to help my students gain a greater understanding of their equipment, composition and detail.
Where do you teach your class?
My classes are designed to be taught to the individual and to help them understand and gain the knowledge they need to learn different aspects of photography. I also teach group classes for more of a general learning environment. The first half of the class is usually taught at libraries or business that allow for private rooms to be reserved. The second part of the class is a hands on outdoor session to practice what was learned in the first session. I can customize your lesson if you have a specific photography interest.
